Typed interview
I felt bad because I know that other people were depending on my task. I spoke to the other people effected by it and worked out how to make it up to them. I was willing to work in the break to get the job caught up as quickly as I could and apologies to them. To avoid it again I planned ahead to be more organised and realise that things can take longer.
I believe in team work and I don’t mind if I have to help with another person’s role to get the job done. For example at the childcare centre where I work the team leader was away and I was the main person left in charge. I was able to continue their way of working and explaing it to the floating staff (coming across from other areas) to get them familar with the kids in our room.
The temporary staff and myself were able to work together despite the change.
I’m happy to help anyone in the team or in the business who needs help. I believe that everyone needs help sometimes and it’s important to work together to get that done.
For example at the childcare centre kids often bring illness and sometimes extra cleaning is needed to get the centre sanitary and safe again. I’ve been willing to do that work and to work with the other staff to get it done.
In my restaurant job I often needed to help others with their sections to give the customers a good service. If a problem has occurred in another section I am happy to assist even if it might not have been my job.
Yes. Some coworkers can be demanding and a bit emotional. I try to be understanding and see their point of view and check their feelings. If there are things they need help with that can help them to be calmer and work together better. It makes working life smoother and helps us solve the problem together.
