So R&D Thursday I was polishing off the suggested offerings by showing the state of it. Went too far, took to long and the guys were like why are you doing all this? I started before Greg gave the team an update about being lean, but finished it after that, so it looked even worse.

Then things seemed tense. They felt like I was making my own roadmap perhaps.

Reilly didn’t acknowledge my points on his PRs, even one was “solid” according to Rod. Reilly only acknowledged Rod’s reply. Then Rod said my Tailwind upgrades were holding things up.

I have no idea how. We’re in a better position that we were before, frontend-components was already divided, we’re just closer to current. But he said “stop starting, and start finishing”. Like what, I should have prioritised background maintenance over sprint goal stuff all of a sudden?

So I had the blessing to progress Companies from Tailwind 1 to 2. That was a bigger job, more changed. Ready to go to 3 on Monday.

I guess he really wants to merge the Tailwind 3 branch into master for frontend components.

He also warned me about appearing too friendly with Product. I guess Greg has power battles there I’m what undermining “our” side? Who the fuck knows, can’t we just collaborate.
